What are we looking for in an Assistant Manager!

✅A great personality with ambition, drive and a willingness to learn.

✅Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification.

✅A thorough understanding of the EYFS (and be able to demonstrate this at interview).

✅At least 2 years experience within a nursery setting.

✅The ability to support, mentor and coach other practitioners.

✅High standards of work and cleanliness in the workplace.

✅A great work ethic with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

✅Strong communication skills to build relationships with parents and show prospective families around the setting.

✅The ability to understand and adhere to policies and practices of the business.

We're looking for a bright, bubbly, and enthusiastic Play Assistant to work alongside our fantastic team and to provide safe, high-quality education and care for our young children.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

✅Work within our Early Years Team, supporting the planning and implementation of activities with individual or groups of children; promoting effective teaching and learning.

✅To promote the inclusion of all children and establish positive and sensitive relationships with children.

✅To use professional knowledge of the individual and diverse ways that children learn and develop, to meet their differing needs.

✅To act as a role model and set achievable expectations for the children.

What we’re looking for in a Play Assistant:

We are looking for someone who holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate to work Monday-Friday, from 8am - 5pm, in our wonderful Burton Road setting.

Duties and responsibilities for this role will include:

✅Planning weekly menus, in conjunction with the Management team.

✅Co-ordinating the serving of mid-day meals and snacks throughout the day.

✅Be responsible for food safety within the nursery, including all safety checks relating to children's dietary/allergy requirements, storage and preparation of food.

✅Keeping records of all hygiene and risk assessments within the kitchen area.

✅Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen area and for all kitchen equipment.
